Passed away in the early hours of November 29, 2013 at the Dr. Gendreau Nursing Home in St. Rose du Lac, Manitoba.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son Sean, a grandson Preston, two brothers and three sisters, Agnes and Bill Stassen, Mary and Gerald Toews, Peter and Lynda Suderman, Betty and Garry Upshall, Bob and Gay Suderman, and in-laws Colette and Ron Frolick.
He was predeceased by his wife Rose, parents Aron and Annie, his brother John, and a niece Jacqueline Unger.
Dick was born on the farm near Beulah, Manitoba on October 4, 1939, the first of seven children. With his parents, he moved first to Friedensfeld and then to Silberfeld south of Landmark where he grew up. He attended Shakespeare School. As an adult he worked at various jobs and became a long distance truck driver. Changing careers, he purchased a hotel in Laurier, MB which he operated till a car accident left him permanently injured.
Dick has been cremated and a memorial service will take place at a later date to be announced.
