ANNE KRYSOWATY
March 1, 1916 – November 23, 2013

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother Anne Krysowaty on November 23, 2013 at the Vita Personal Care Home.

Predeceased by her first husband, Paul Meda in 1956, 2nd husband Nick Krysowaty in 2005, son Joe Meda in 1994, her parents, and siblings Nellie Zacharkiw, Steve Kwiatkowski, Nick Kwiatkowski, and John Curtis. Anne is survived by her son Boris Meda (Celia) of Buffalo Point, Lynn Innes of Barriere, BC, Pat Roberts (Russ) of Comox, BC, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grand children.

Anne was born on the family homestead in the Stuartburn municipality on March 1st, 1916. Anne married Paul Meda in November 1931. They farmed in Sundown and had 2 sons then moved to Winnipeg. Anne worked as a seamstress during the war and Paul was shipped overseas during the occupation. After the war and the birth of their daughters they moved to Middlebro and started logging as well as mixed farming. Anne married Nick Krysowaty in 1960 and they continued to farm, and travel until their move to Shady Oaks in Vita in 1999. Nick passed in 2005 and mom moved to the Personal Care home in 2010.

Mom loved the outdoors and spent a great deal of time gardening, actively involved with the farming, the community and her family. She loved going ice fishing and going to Warroad to the casino mostly to visit with friends. Mom loved to travel and went to Europe twice, an Alaska cruise, a few winters in the states and many trips to visit family whether at the East or West coast.

Mom will be missed very much by all her family and friends. Thanks to the staff at the Vita Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they gave for the 3 ½ years she spent there.

Memorial Service will take place during her favorite season, the spring of next year.
