DAVID MARTIN URBAN
May 10, 1935 - October 1, 2020
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wendy; son Blaine (Teri), daughter Cheryl (Scott) Noble, grandchildren, Melissa, Melody (Craig), Bailey, Byrklie, Macie, Cody (Heather) and Blake (Meagan), sister Bernice (Dave) Zukewich, brothers, Ron (Phyllis) and Don (Pat), sister-in-law Lillian Halldorson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers and their wives, Ed (Jeannette) and Bruce (Bernice); in-laws, Edith Zeke (Gary) and Murray Halldorson.
Dave met the love of his life, Wendy while working in Lundar in 1962 and together they built a beautiful life. He worked in construction as Site Superintendent for over 50 years. He retired from Parkwest Projects Ltd. in 2005 and his fine craftsmanship is evident in the precious memories left behind. Dave loved fishing, camping, gardening and many years of enjoyment were spent with family and friends at Tarryall Resort.
Dave cherished his grandchildren and he was their biggest fan. He and Wendy rarely missed a game, tournament, concert or any activity with their grandkids. We will miss him so much and will hold him in our hearts forever.
We would like to thank our friends and family for their endless support, CancerCare Manitoba (especially Bethesda staff) and Rob Hiebert at Crossings Funeral Care.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
