Claudette was predeceased by her husband Robert Eadie, parents, Emelie and Charles Comeault, brother Rudy Comeault and sister-in-law Simone Comeault. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Charles (Judy), Shelly, and Ross; her sister, Beth Pezak (Tony); brothers, Marcel, Gilles (Marlene), Guy (Judy), Gerald, and Norman (Jackie); and sister-in-law Gladys Comeault (Rudy). She is also survived by grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
She will also be fondly remembered by her friends at Sprucewood Place in Balmoral where she spent her later years.
Claudette was a very loving and caring person who went out of her way to lend support to others, with compassion and an abundance of love. Her listening skills, friendly demeanour, and witty sense of humour were especially appreciated by all. As the eldest girl in a large family of mostly boys, she made a meaningful positive impact on her younger siblings, while assisting Mom in running a busy farming home in St. Jean Baptiste. She later became a hairdresser, initially in Steinbach, then operated for many years after at Oakview Place in Winnipeg, providing services to the elderly residents as well as staff. Before retiring she served a number of years as a Home Care Giver where she was greatly appreciated by her clients.
Claudette enjoyed family gatherings at which you could always find her preparing food. She loved reading, bird watching, curling and spoiling her pets. Claudette especially enjoyed her early retirement years when she and her husband lived on a small acreage near Roblin, Manitoba, where she maintained a large and fertile garden, enjoyed the outdoors, and hosted many family and friend gatherings.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Palliative Care, St. Boniface Hospital and Grace Hospice for their care, kindness and support.
A celebration of Claudette's life will be announced at a later date, when we are safely able to come together.
In the meantime, Claudette's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by visiting and sharing memories on her tribute page at www.Cropo.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or an animal welfare charity of choice.
