RUSSELL WAYNE HOSEA

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russell Wayne Hosea on October 3, 2020, at the Maples Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, MB.
Wayne was born and raised in Morden, Manitoba. He took a job with Manitoba Highways Department in 1960 as a rodman/surveyor and retired in 1995. Wayne married Darlene Klein on September 3, 1960.
Wayne was very community minded. He was active in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 11 as a lifetime member/past president. He could be seen marching in parades whenever he was available. He loved to golf and was an immensely proud member of the Minnewasta Golf Course. He was a firm believer that everybody deserves to be heard and act if he could. It was in that spirit that he ran and was elected to the Town of Morden Council. He sat on the council for eight years.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Darlene; children, Debra Dueck (Alan), Dale Hosea (Jodi); grandchildren, Samantha Chornopyski (Mike), Michael Dueck, Christian Hosea and Haylee Hosea; great-grandchildren, William, Andy, Cory, Avaiah and Alia. His brothers, Ken (Linda) and Doug (Lorraine). Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Elvin and Matilda (Tilly) Hosea; in-laws, Frank and Alma Klein; son Michael Wayne, and brother Elvin Gary Hosea.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for their tireless care of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Due to Covid-19 there will be no service at this time. Donations can be made to Alzheimer Society, Manitoba at https://alzheimer.mb.ca/you-can-help/donate in lieu of flowers.
