HARRY GREGORY ZUK
He is survived by Irene, his wife of 60 years; daughters, Wendy MacKenzie (Peter), Jo-Anne Stuart (Jim), Patti Zuk (Tony) and Karen Jackson (Darrell). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sean MacKenzie (Jillian), Alyson Rodewald (Lucas), Leanne Lawson (Jordan), Megan Schott (Kiel), Emma and Matthew Jackson and Jenna and Kelsey Stuart. He will also be sadly missed by his great-grandson Benjamin MacKenzie; his sister Pauline Ignash and many nieces and nephews.
Greg was born and raised on the family farm near Poplarfield, the youngest of 14 children. He attended school in that area and then moved to Winnipeg, finishing his high school education at Tec Voc High School where he was involved in the band, operettas and many sports. He then went on to work at the Manitoba Telephone System, retiring in December 1999, "after 37 and a half years of loyal and dedicated service." He travelled much of Manitoba during those years. After retiring from MTS, he spent many hours as a handyman and builder, willing to help anyone who asked. No project was too big or too small for him.
Family was everything to Greg, he was always happy to help with anything we needed, which included finding the best money-saving deal. He wanted little and gave endlessly. His grandchildren grew up with his corny sense of humour, magic tricks and the nuggets of wisdom he shared. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
The family thanks the staff of Wards 3 East and 2 West at Riverview Health Centre for the care they gave Greg, especially Rose for her wonderful care and support.
There will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg's memory can be made to a charity of your choice.

My sister, Shirley Kerslake, told me of Greg’s death, and I was very sad to hear of it. I didn’t see Greg often, but I thought him a fine man with a wonderful smile. My best to Irene and family. - Posted by: Nora Sharpe (friend) on: Oct 21, 2020
Both Joyce and I knew Greg from Tech Voc. Joyce was in majorettes, and I played in the band with Greg. Those were great days. Greg was a great guy and well liked. Our sincere condolences to you, Irene, and to your family. Chic and Joyce Seabrook (nee: Bemi) - Posted by: Chic & Joyce Seabrook (school mates) on: Oct 18, 2020
