Condolences & Memories (9 entries)
My heartfelt condolences go out to Don's family and friends. I was very sorry to hear the news of his passing. I haven't worked with Don in a few years but remember him like it was yesterday. I will always remember his respectful nature and kindness that he showed me as well to all the clients that he had taken care of over the years. God Bless you Don. - Posted by: Bobbie (Former RC with Home Care) on: Oct 19, 2020
Dear Carol, Rachel and Rebecca, Laura and I were saddened to learn of Don’s death. He was a fine example of what a true Christian should be kind, loving and approachable. Carol the love you and Don shared for each other and your family was always a joy to witness. We weep at the loss of your devoted husband and father Don and the pain his loss brings to your family. I will miss Don, I enjoyed talking to him again, after joining the Maples congregation in 2012. He was a kind brother. I remember back in 1980, I was 18 yrs old and needed money so Don gave me work waxing floors in several Macs stores all night and into the morning. After we finished waxing the last store beside Jefferson high school, we were both exhausted and I still needed to get to RRCC to register for a carpentry course that started the following Monday. I’ll never forget Don driving me there without hesitation then driving me home again. I had to register by 10:00 a.m that morning or forfeit the course to someone else and that training benighted me secularly to this day. Thanks to Don for getting me there. Love identifies the true congregation and Don was a strong example of that love. My sincere condolences to his family. Ray Parsons - Posted by: Ray Parsons (Friend) on: Oct 17, 2020
Rick and I are so sorry to hear of Don's passing! He was very supportive to Rick in times past. Rick also would like to attend a service of any kind in memory of him but Covid is our reality now. Looking forward to seeing him in the re-creation. Matt 19: 28,29💌 - Posted by: Richard and Barbara Lower (Friends) on: Oct 17, 2020
