JACK (PHILIP) BLAIR

On Monday, October 12, 2020, Jack (Philip) George Blair passed away at Riverview Health Centre.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie (Veronica) Blair; his four children, Dana (Bryan) Ebersole, Mike (Tracy) Blair, Jeff (Gayle) Blair and Penny Blair. The joys of his life are his ten grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer, Tyler, Taylor, Jenessa, Elyssa, Zack, Maya, Ryan, Adam; and five great-grandchildren, Azaleah, Gregory, Evelyn, Bentley and Everley. He is survived by his brothers, Bob and Danny, along with many beloved nieces and nephews, and his dog Billy.
Born in Kingston Ontario, Jack's adventures included living in Toronto, Newfoundland, New Brunswick and finally Winnipeg where he lived for the past 38 years. He retired from Kromar Printing after 26 years of service.
His favourite pastime was golfing. Camping and fishing with his family and friends was how he spent his spare time. His crazy sense of humour and nose twitching sarcasm will be missed by all.
Due to Covid and its related issues, we will be having a Celebration of Life for Jack in the spring when his family and friends can come together and share their love, loss, and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider a donation to the Salvation Army Church.

  • Thank you for your beautiful comments. We (our family) are hoping to have a celebration of life this summer ... COVID permitting. Please feel free to email me if you would like to be contacted pennyblair@outlook.com - Posted by: Penny Blair (Daughter) on: Dec 07, 2020

  • I was sorry to hear about Jack's passing. I have many fond memories of him while I was growing up in Toronto. There was a trip he and I took to Kingston once from Toronto ( when he lived in Newfoundland) that provided many laughs and many fond memories. - Posted by: Stacey Gaffney ( nee Dermott) (Cousin) on: Nov 25, 2020

  • I had the opportunity to work with him and his sarcasm and laugh were indeed priceless. He was always very helpful in answering my concerns even if they sounded wierd. His family was his number one. He will be missed. I would appreciate to be notified when and if there is a celebration so that I may relay the info ( if you wish me to ) to others in our circle (which went out for breakfast every once in a while after we all retired) . Thank you and God bless - Posted by: Roger Tellier (coworker) on: Nov 01, 2020
