MARGARET STRAND
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Isabell Ennis, siblings, Orval, Olive, Alice, Gordon, Frank, Mervin and Harvey, as well as her son Terrence Nelson Strand, and special friend Gordon Morefoot.
Margaret experienced a lot in her 92 years. She was born on April 4, 1928, in Glenavon Saskatchewan. She grew up on their family farm in Treherne, Manitoba, then moved into Winnipeg and began her adult life there.
During her adulthood she held various jobs and was mom to four children. She also had a period where she was very ill and was in an iron lung for two years. She persevered and was able to go on to live a long, healthy life and retired at the age of 65.
Margaret was a talented artist and shared her paintings generously with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her bingo nights out, doing puzzles, travelling, and especially spending time with her family. She loved deeply and laughed heartily, and you always knew exactly where you stood with her.
Margaret is remembered by her siblings, Myrtle and Jean; children, Barry (Joyce), Phyllis (Douglas) and Keith (Ollie), as well as her grandchildren, Nelson, Jody, Shellie, Jennifer, Andrea, Jessica, Crystal and Stacy, along with 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date when we are able to have the sun shine on us and we are able to celebrate her together. She will be cremated and interred to rest in Treherne.
Margaret's family would like to extend many thanks to the wonderful staff who cared for her at Beacon Hill Lodge in Winnipeg, MB and Stensrud Lodge in Saskatoon, SK.

A hearty laugh for sure - makes me smile about all the good times and stories told over the years. I will always be grateful for Aunt Margaret offering me my first office job after high school and setting the tone for professional conduct that I have aspired to throughout my career. Sending heartfelt condolences to everyone in the family. Love and hugs Kelly & Sandy Bergman (Ennis) - Posted by: Sandy Bergman (niece) on: Oct 24, 2020

Dear Barry, Phyllis, Keith and Families, So sorry to hear of Aunt Margaret's passing. My mind goes back to very fond memories of family gatherings at the old homestead and the "ski-doo shack" and of course the numerous Ennis family reunions. Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Hugs to you all - Glenda & Vic - Posted by: Glenda Falkowski (Ennis) (Niece) on: Oct 23, 2020
