PATRICIA (PAT) KENNINGTON
July 10, 1951 - October 6, 2020
Pat is survived by her son Christopher (Renee); sister Linda (Freeman); brothers, Bill (Linda) and Robert; as well as her little angel on earth, her first granddaughter Paige. Pat also has many nephews and nieces that she loved dearly.
Pat worked at Blue Cross from 1981 until her retirement. She made many lifelong friends including her best friend Bonnie, who held a special place in her heart and was always there for a good laugh and to cheer each other up.
Pat enjoyed the simple things in life. In her last few years spending time with her sister and husband, her son Christopher and Renee and, watching her sweet granddaughter Paige grow, gave her so much happiness and joy.
Pat especially loved cooking, including making her family handed down recipe for perogies. She crocheted many afghans and blankets for premature babies in the hospital. She loved her Monday evening bingo with her friends in the block and her occasional trip to play keno, as well as watching her Winnipeg Jets play hockey.
A "Special Heartfelt Thanks" to all the doctors, nurses and homecare providers from Palliative and outpatient care that took such good care of Pat over the past three years.
Mom, sister, grammie, dear friend,
we know you're in a better place now
that is free from pain and sadness
and we love you and miss you dearly.

PK as we always called her was one of the kindest, most positive people I’ve ever known I worked at Blue Cross with her until her retirement. We always appreciated for smile and humour and kindness to all. I had so many fun times with her. I’ll never forget her. An example to us all. - Posted by: Marlene Thorarinson (Friend) on: Oct 24, 2020

We are so saddened to hear of Pat's passing. She was a wonderful neigbour and we sure missed her when she moved. Our girls loved her and would chat her ear off over the fence, and she would give them each a little ornament for their Christmas tree. We had not seen Pat in a long while, but, I was happy to read she had become a grandmother...rest in peace, Pat. You are free from your pain. - Posted by: Debbie and Darren Hunter (Former neighbour) on: Oct 24, 2020
