Roy certainly was a true gentleman. I had the pleasure of working with him at Freeman's for many Summers and for the first year when I finished high school. Not only did he teach me how to be a service provider in the television repair and sales industry but he also taught me a lot of high valued life lessons. He never pushed an agenda and he always lent an ear. A consummate listener and when we spoke with each other I knew that he gave everything I said full consideration and that was always appreciated. One of my favourite times with him was when we would spend our coffee break either at Salisbury house, he would have coffee and toast and I would have a bran muffin and tea. He allowed me to run a tab every two weeks because I didn't have much excess change in my pocket, the other times we would search through nurseries and supply companies looking for the perfect soil or plants. Roy taught me the benefits of working in the yard and being at one with nature and gardening, he used to say it is like therapy. Enjoy this next leg of the journey in your garden in the sky Roy. - Posted by: Michael Sparks (Friend and colleague) on: Feb 25, 2021
