My condolences, Pat and Debbie to you and your family’s on the passing of your mother. Auntie Bertha was a kind and gentle woman with a warm welcoming smile and was always willing to tell a story about how things were back in the days when she was growing up. I really enjoyed our many conversations about how she met Uncle Blackie and how the two of them made a happy life together. She mentioned many times how lucky she was being a mother to two wonderful daughters. Even after her fall and hospital stay, her smile and confident outlook on life never faded. Auntie Bertha was a great example of keeping a positive attitude even during very difficult times. I will truly miss spending time with her and chatting about years gone by when life was lived at a much slower pace and without so many distractions. Deepest sympathies to the family. Marilyn and I have wonderful memories growing up in Tyndall of Bertha and Blackie and being friends with Debbie. Bertha was a lovely lady. - Posted by: Theresa Hunter (Friend of the family) on: Oct 24, 2020
