Dear Mom I'm so sorry to hear of your passing. Thank you for being a great Grandma to Genevieve and Julia. I hope you and Julia are making bread and playing cards. You were a wonderful lady. My condolences to the family. Joanne - Posted by: Joanne Menzies (Daughter in law) on: Mar 05, 2021

The day you passed I felt it and was told it was 10 minutes ago when I asked. I felt your goodbye hug and you pinch my checks and whisper you are so cute. All the loving memories of you rushed back at that moment. The smell of fresh baked bread, salmon you loved so much. When you would take us to work and feed us french fries and gravy. When you came home and had a treat for me in your apron. When mom would say we are going to granny's and I would run through the monkey trails, over the foot bridge and down the back lanes, so I could fly into your loving arms. Or when the river would freeze I would slide down the hill, skate across the river, into your warm wonderful smelling home. Because of your love I have passed these loving smells, hugs, check pinching, kisses, laughing, smiles, tickles to my grandchild. I love you so much and know that when my time comes you will be here welcoming me home. - Posted by: Cheryl Tryon (Granddaughter) on: Oct 24, 2020

My sympathies go to all the siblings of Lena. What can you say about a lady who was beautiful inside and out. My neighbour for many years and friend for a long time . Everyone at Archwood club missed her very much when her health started failing. I can still remember her great desserts she brought. She is now in a better place. Prayers for you and her. Bev. Bettens and family. - Posted by: Beverley Bettens (Neighbour) on: Oct 24, 2020
