ARTHUR WILFRED LAVALLEE
March 21, 1937 - October 18, 2020
He was predeceased by his brother Danny Lavallee (Lucy) and his parents, John Lavallee and Maria Lavallee (Lepine).
He leaves behind his loving wife Gillian Lavallee (Hobbs) of 29 years; his first wife Norma McDonald (Dupas); their three boys, Laurie Lavallee (Monique) of Kakabeka Falls, Keith Lavallee of Fraserwood, Marc Lavallee (Christine) of Thunder Bay, two step-daughters, Sonia Fisher, Tracey Fishman (Fisher); 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He will be missed, but now he is at rest and in no pain.
During his career, he started off in the hardware industry at Ashdowns and then Woolco. As a young man, he also worked part-time in the food industry at various locations as a waiter and bartender. After Woolco, he went to work at Winnipeg Transit as a bus driver.
When the children were young, the family spent time at the lake, fishing, swimming and camping. Before his illness, he filled his time with golfing, which was his greatest passion.
Arthur was also a long time member of AA.
Arthur will be cremated and Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
The family would like to take this time to thank the many home care people that took excellent care of Arthur, before entering Parkview Place. We would also like to thank the staff at Parkview Place for their kindness and care of Arthur.
"We remember their love,
when they can no longer remember."

Heartfelt condolences to Gillian, Sonia and Tracey, Laurie and Monique, Keith, Marc and Christine, and others near and dear to Art. My memories go back more than four decades and cover many special occasions celebrated with immediate and extended family members, in addition to ordinary life events and informal visits. Being Justin's grandfather assured a lasting connection that I was fortunate to continue sharing after Gillian, Sonia and Tracey came into Art's life. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Debbie Bride (friend and former daughter-in-law) on: Nov 01, 2020

You have my sympathies and condolences to the family. I worked alongside Art at Woolco on Grant Ave. He was the hardware mgr and I was the sporting goods mgr. Later we partied as he was friends with my Aunt Lucille & Uncle Lawrence Gamache. Had many laughs, Art & I had many laughs as we seemed to always think the same. God Bless you Art and see you on the other side. I say this with Love in my heart and much sadness. I am thankful that I got to know you.
