ELMER ALEXANDER SUPPES
Elmer Suppes, age 95 years, of Emerson, MB, formerly of Ridgeville, MB, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at the Vita Personal Care Home, Vita, MB.
He is survived by his sons Bill Suppes, Gary (Colleen) Suppes, son-in-law Howard Omoto, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle Suppes (2016), son Leroy in infancy, daughter Lana Omoto (2016), and daughter-in-law Cindy (Namba) Suppes (1997).
Elmer was born on the family farm in the Ridgeville area in 1925. Growing up Elmer enjoyed playing baseball, often playing 1st base. As time passed he continued to enjoy baseball, especially watching his grandchildren play the game. Farming was a big part of Elmer’s life and over the years involved both dairy and grain farming. After retirement to Emerson, Elmer continued to have an interest in the farm and would visit as often as he could. He looked forward to visiting the farm even in these last few years.
After Myrtle passed away in 2016, Elmer continued to live on his own in Emerson with the help of family and homecare. In 2017, Elmer was admitted to the Vita Personal Care Home and remained there until he passed away on Oct. 10. He enjoyed his time at the care home and appreciated the staff and fellow residents. Elmer lived a full life, and passed away quickly and peacefully, just as he would have wanted.
A private family graveside service will be held.
