KENNETH WHITEHEAD
Born January 5, 1940 in London, England, Ken came to Canada in May of 1962 to visit family for a year. In June he found employment with the City of Winnipeg, until his retirement in 1992. He was invited to join a band (Banjo Bandits). These events enticed him to stay and changed his life's path.
Ken and Claire travelled extensively all continents, except Antarctica, and were snowbirds for over 25 years. They cherished their home and nature in Charleswood, near the Harte Trail.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Emily; brothers, Leslie and David.
He leaves to mourn in England, sister-in-law Joan; nephew Stephen (Juliet) and their sons, James and Thomas. In Canada, Claire's brothers, Rene (Paulette), Gerard (Annette), Joseph (Suzette); sister Agnes; many nephews, nieces and cousins in British Columbia and Ontario and close friends, Gary, Pete and Jim.
In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held in the Spring of 2021.

I am so saddened to hear of Ken's passing. Growing up, we spent every summer camping and hiking with Ken and he has been a huge influence on my life, and the lives of my two brothers. I can only hope to have a tenth of his adventerous spirit. The world is missing one great man. - Posted by: Derek Williams (Family friend) on: Nov 12, 2020
