Jim led an adventurous life .. The first chapter started in Weston, then the North End of Winnipeg. Jim joined the RCMP, F Troop in 1959, which led to a fulfilling career of 31 years. He was well respected by his fellow officers and the people of the northern communities he served. Jim and Frona raised their family in Canada's North, Daughters Dayna and Debra completed their education in Yellowknife before venturing out to University. The next chapter started in 1991 in Brentwood Bay, B..C. Jim had a love of sailing and they sailed the Gulf Islands for many years. Jim lived his last chapter as every other: telling jokes, making friends, spinning tales and loving his family. We will miss him for many reasons, but especially him singing "Happy Birthday" to us on our special day, never missed a year. Rest in peace, Jim. Love always, your brother and sisters. Carol Gillis; Grant Scott; Heather Bradshaw, Geraldine Field and Maureen Gemmell. - Posted by: Carol A Gillis (Sister) on: Nov 09, 2020
