MAURICE NOEL
January 15, 1934 - October 25, 2020

On Sunday, October 25, 2020, Maurice Noël, born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 86.
He is survived by the love of his life, Claire (Bernier) his wife of 64 years; his six children, Jean-Pierre (Mireille Legal), Charles (Shirley Kornelson), Monique (late George Murphy), Guy (Johanne Cloutier), Robert, and Paul (Sandra Pachol); his 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; his sister Solange (Noël) Arcand; his sister-in-law Raymonde (Hébert) Bernier; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jean (Jack) Noël and Eva (Maurice) Noël; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Laurette and Alec Gawryluk, Stella and Armand Guénette, Constance and Jos Tougas, Raymond Arcand, Claude and Réjane Bernier, and Gilles Bernier.
Maurice was well known for his humour, his contagious smile, his play on words and his incredible hugs. He was an awesome husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Always there to help his fellow man, always there to offer support. His tireless love and devotion to his family were evident. His career as a teacher was a life choice that he never regretted. His former students are his testimony.
He was very active and loved by all at the Villa Aulneau. He took charge of the variety evenings organized by the residents and was also in charge of the library with his wife Claire.
A special thanks to the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their care of Maurice and to LeClaire Brothers Funeral Home for their help and support in this difficult time.
A commemorative donation to the foundation Francofonds Inc. - Fonds Raymond Bernier would be appreciated.
A celebration of Maurice's life was held surrounded by his loving family.

❤️ - Posted by: Suzanne Frechette (Former student ) on: Nov 07, 2020
