RUBY EVE CECILE DANIEL
June 27, 1934 - October 28, 2020

It is with immeasurable sadness that we, the family, share the passing of Ruby Daniel on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
Left to cherish her memory is her dear friend of 39 years, Vic, "Thank you Vic for the good years and for being so great with me", three wonderful daughters, (her words), Sheila (Harvey), Lorelee (Tom), Kelly (Bernie); two granddaughters, Danica and Brielle, who were the absolute lights of her life; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Linda and Pat. Also mourning our loss is Vic's family, Cindy (Richard), Kathy, Kim; granddaughters, Lyndsey (James), Dru-Ann (Ken) and four great-grandchildren.
Ruby was predeceased by her infant son Todd, Vic's son Ian and her three siblings, Phil and Paul Todd and Helen Brucker.
Mom was born and raised in Headingley, long before it was fashionable. Early life was challenging but we kids never felt "without" - her love was all encompassing. She was the ultimate caregiver, always putting the needs and troubles of others before her own, right up to the end.
She and Vic were avid golfers and enjoyed many courses over the years, sharing laughs and drinks with beloved friends along the way. She loved her shopping and kept us well stocked in any and all products that were "NEW". Her passion for Ruby Red glassware was legendary and we all contributed to that addiction. Her collection is vast, and we will treasure it. Our classy lady, tireless cheerleader, impeccable dresser, Mod Grandma. How we will miss you and your wax paper packages of love. Until we are together again. We love you to bits. See you in the Meema.
A celebration of Ruby's life will be held later, once COVID permits.
For those wishing to honour her memory, please consider a donation to Siloam Mission or Deer Lodge Centre.
