MILDRED DOLLY SMIDS
Mildred worked at Rae and Jerry's and the Beefeater Restaurants. Post retirement she took care of her granddaughter Chelsea. Mildred was an avid gardener, she enjoyed camping, fishing and playing Mexican dominos with her friends. Mildred spent many enjoyable visits in Kenora visiting her daughter Michele, granddaughter Chelsea, and Ken Kuchma and his family. She was active in the Covenant Christian Reformed Church. Mildred spent many happy years with her soulmate Fred. They were married 49 years and only argued when it came to hanging wallpaper!
Mildred leaves to mourn her husband Fred, daughter Michele Franchuk, and granddaughter Chelsea Franchuk. She was predeceased by her son Michael Franchuk.

There will be a viewing at Friends Funeral Home, 2146 Main St. on November 12 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery, 2373 Main St.
