DORIS PEARSON
Doris was born to mother Louise Desjarlais on September 18, 1933 in Vogar, MB. She moved to Winnipeg to work and soon after, met and married Rodney in 1962. Together they made a home and had a daughter, Audrey, and two sons, Robert and Arthur. Doris was a hard-working mother and loved working as the cook and meal planner at the Broadway Daycare Centre for many years. As a survivor of the residential school system, Doris always stressed the importance of forgiveness and keeping your family close.
Doris was predeceased by her mother Louise and her husband Rodney. She will be remembered by her daughter Audrey (Doug), sons, Robert and Arthur (Keeley), grandchildren, Robert, Letitia and Zoe, and great-grandchildren, Robert and Bryston.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge, especially the nurses and health care aides of the Spruce Unit, whom Doris came to know since moving there in 2019.
