GEORGINA NOWENSKY
Her son, Yale, his wife, Marlene and Georgie's daughter, Rachelle and husband, Frederic shall always lovingly remember her. Grandchildren, Aaron and Terra, Terra's partner, Derek, and children, Hollyn and Mason will sadly miss her love and kind, encouraging words. Georgie was very proud of and adored her grandchildren.
Georgie lived a long and happy life. She was born April 16, 1928, in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents, George Barron and Alice Omand. She married her beloved Manley Nowensky in 1950, who passed May 19, 1977, while celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her sister, Isabelle and nephew, Bill predeceased her in 1995 and 2018 respectively.
Georgie lived in West Kildonan her entire life and worked at the Post Office.
Georgie touched and blessed many lives. All know, and will remember her, as loving, kind and thoughtful, and her sense of humour brightened every heart and room. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, watching NHL hockey, playing cards, bingo, making puzzles, and going to the casino. She loved drives to Lockport, always retelling how, as a child, she bought sugar candy there for a penny. She also loved visiting Lil and Gerry in Toronto, and going to Gwen Sector and shopping with her friend Irene. She made us all feel happy and loved, and Georgie was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Cremation has taken place with a private interment Monday, November 16, 2020.
If you wish, instead of flowers, please donate to The Canadian Diabetes Association.

I just wanted to tell the family that Georgina always talked about her family and she was so happy when she heard they were coming for a visit. She loved you all so much and was very proud of all of you. I am so proud that she picked me to be her casino and hockey buddy. I’m so honoured. Rest In Peace my dear friend. - Posted by: Kathy (Friend ) on: Nov 14, 2020

My cousin Georgina was truly a blessing to all the family and I am especially proud to be her cousin ..She was more of a good friend to me than my cousin. ..We shared so many happy times together. After so many years without her beloved Manley, I know they have been reunited once again. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, she will be sadly missed by soo many. Rest in peace George, we love you - Posted by: Jan Hocken (cousin) on: Nov 14, 2020
