BERNICE STEBBING
Bernice was born at her great-grandparents farm, named RISK and HOPE, at Avonlea, Saskatchewan, on Good Friday, April 14, 1933.
Her education began in the one room Crystal Hill School next to the family farm. She moved to Moose Jaw where she attended teacher's college and from there to Winnipeg where she began her lengthy teaching career.
Bernice enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Falcon Lake and her home and yard in Winnipeg.
She was an avid traveller, organizing group tours to many parts of the world, and enjoyed learning about the people and their culture.
Bernice leaves to mourn her passing daughter Jo-Ann; son Neal; and grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher and Ian.
She gave us life and love and will forever be in our hearts and memories.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Bernice's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

I was very sad and shocked to hear of your mother’s passing. We had been long time friends for many years and valued each other’s friendship and support. We shared a lot of good times together. I will miss her and I know the family will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Verna Walker (Friend) on: Nov 15, 2020

My sincere sympathy on Bernice’s passing. Mother, Grandmother or friend, she will be missed by all who met and cared about her. Successful in everything she committed to. I admired her a lot and will always remember her kindness when my parents passed. I loved and appreciated her for that. Sincerely, Karen McMillan - Posted by: Karen McMillan (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2020

Sincere condolences to Jo-ANN, Neal and family. I am saddened to learn of Bernice's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time. I share in grieving the loss of a fellow teacher and traveller. After my husband died I did not know where to begin to pick up the pieces of my life. And then I met Bernice!! I joined her travel group and we literally travelled the world for over fifteen years . I so often think about the special times a friend and I golfed at Falcon Lake and then went for an over night at Bernice's cottage. I have so many precious memories and know I was a lucky person to have known Bernice and had so many wonderful adventures over many years. In sympathy.
