SUSAN PATRICIA WIELD
September 8, 1972 - October 23, 2020

Passed suddenly at home after a short illness.
Susan was the beloved daughter of Patricia and the late Patrick Wield and sister of the late Michael Wield.
She was born and lived her life in Winnipeg. She graduated from Dakota Collegiate, the University of Winnipeg, where she studied French and French literature and the College Universitaire de St. Boniface, where she studied French translation.
She was a long time member of St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church. Those who knew her there, treasured her love of community, her curiosity about her faith, her great sense of humour, her generosity and her loving devotion to her family and friends.
Starting her career with Escape, she was a long time employee of Bell/MTS where she cultivated and enjoyed the company of many friends and colleagues.
Susan is lovingly remembered by the Schwartz-Trivett family, especially by Robyn Trivett, and by extended family in New Brunswick, Ontario, Saskatchewan and The North West Territories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Harvest and The Primate's World Relief Fund.
There will be a graveside ceremony on a date yet to be determined.

  • I went to CUSB with Susan, and she was the funniest, most sarcastic person ever. She was like the older sister I never had. We lost touch over the years, something I much regret. Susan, I hope you’re enjoying the next plane of existence with your Dad and brother Michael. - Posted by: Rhea Merana (Classmate) on: Jan 26, 2021

  • My condolences to Susan’s family. I worked a few years with her and she was such a great person. Always a good morning, always asked about family. She was so smart, there wasn’t a problem or account she couldn’t fix. She was amazing and had a heart of gold. She will be missed for sure. - Posted by: Bev Kozun (Co-worker) on: Nov 16, 2020

  • My sincere condolences. I never worked closely with Susan, but met her through others who did. I remember her as a very kind and caring individual who always had a smile on her face and would go out of her way to greet and include all the people that she met along the way.
