  • Condolences to the Bianchi Family, So sorry to hear of Rene's passage. The memories flood back to my pre-teen and teenage years of visiting the Bakery at Berry St & Ness Ave. My older brother, Clint worked for Rene for many years. My Mom also work the counter for a few years. Rene was a warm and friendly man who made you feel welcome in his home. Years later after moving to Calgary, my wife and I had the pleasure of having a short visit with Rene when he made a visit to Calgary. On Facebook pages ( Retro St James & Britannia Elementary School ) there are several recurring comments and memories of the popular products obtained at Rene's Bakery. Again, Condolences to Josie and Family - Posted by: Douglas Caswell (Friend) on: Nov 21, 2020
