Kimberly (Kim) Schiller passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020 at her home in Vita, MB.
Kim was raised on the family farm in Zhoda, MB.
She is survived by her mother: Ruth Chopyk, her two children: Lesley Schiller (Carl Granke) and Matthew (Randi) Schiller, her three brothers: Thomas Chopyk, Robin Chopyk, and James (Marie) Chopyk, her sister Shannon Chopyk, her nieces Jasmine Chopyk, and Samantha Chopyk, nephew Tyrell Chopyk, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father William Chopyk (Sr), brother William Chopyk and his wife Eve.
Kim loved to make art in many forms, from poetry, sketches and paintings, to clothing and decorations.
Kim had recently moved to Vita and was enjoying reconnecting with many old friends. She also valued many new friendships gained, especially those at the Vita 55 Plus Club.
Kim had a lifelong battle with mental illness and the family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation can be sent to the Canadian Mental Health Association. This can be done through the website of Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held.
