I to am saddened to hear of Jeff passing. Since I retired, we did not see each other for months at a time but Jeff knew I considered him my best friend. We worked together in the training center in Winnipeg ATC. Jeff, the man who would bend over backwards to be of help, the man everyone had a good word for. When ever you were with him you knew you were with someone good. We spent many hours just talking about life. We met up in Portugal when we were both there on a holiday. Fun times! WE had a very lovely evening the night he and his sister played at the bar in Webb Sask. There was so much more to Jeff than met the eye and it is easy not to recognize that till now. Jeff I loved the jamming when I was in WG, I wish we could do that again. Know I miss you. My prayers and condolences to Brenda and your family. - Posted by: Dennis Smid (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2022

My heartfelt and very belated condolences to all of Jeff's family and friends. I lost touch with Jeff over the years, and unfortunately my search for him has led me here, and it breaks my heart. I met Jeff in Moose Jaw where we were attending college. I was introduced by a classmate to him, as we had a mutal love of guitar. Jeff (Puff as we called him, I never got that history from him) was my mentor on guitar. I knew three chords, and he took the time to teach me "House of the Rising Son". Also he taught me the melodic hammer on and pull off part of "Eruption"....the guy had the patience of Job. I'll never forget the 7-11 runs, the trip to Saskatoon to see the Queen City Kids, closing down the Oil Can Tavern in Ft. McMurray for six nights in a row with his band "A Band Called Horse". My last talk with him was when he was living in Baker Lake I believe, and we lost touch with each other after that. Puff, I sure wish we had gotten the chance to jam again...but I'm sure you have some pretty good jam partners now. I'm always indebted to you, my guitar teacher. I am so saddened to learn of Jeff's passing. I was at the TCTI in Cornwall, Ontario with Jeff back in 1990 (or 1991) for about 5 months. Many, many years later, I surprised the heck out of him when he was standing outside a shopping mall in Saskatoon and I walked up to him and said, "You're Jeff Lutz". He was amazed that I would remember him after almost 20-25 years (not sure what year I ran into him)....but we reminisced for a bit and went out separate ways. Jeff was a nice guy and I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. Ian Striemer - Saskatoon - Posted by: Ian Striemer (Long ago acquaintance) on: Nov 03, 2021

We knew Jeff as an exuberant person who when taking a cause for the life of the unborn and the poor gave his full heart into it. He was a very good friend. We will miss him. Left us too soon. We pray that he is in Jesus' arms in peace. - Posted by: John and Colette Mozol (Friends and Brother Knight of Columbus) on: Nov 22, 2020

Of all the people I've met at church throughout the years. Jeff had a certain light about him, he was always the 1st person to ask how you're doing. Offer a kind word and wisdom when his brothers were down. A man with a true heart for God, one of the first to help setup at church events, and one of the last to leave. Jeff will always be one of my favorite human beings, in this life and the next. Until we meet again my friend, thank you for all you've taught me. My prayers and condolences to your family. - Posted by: Avery (Brother in Christ) on: Nov 21, 2020
