On November 12, 2020, at the age of 87, Waverley passed away at St. Boniface Hospital.
He was predeceased by his father Roy and stepmother Mary; his brother Murray and sister-in-law Mef of Brandon. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pat, of 63 years; sons, Bruce, Scott (Gabriella), and grandchildren, Alora (Tyler), Landon, Aidan, Keilana and Hunter.
Waverley was born and raised in Winnipeg where he met and married the love of his life, Patricia. He was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed life's quiet pleasures; camping, fishing, travelling and spending time with friends at the lake. He was extremely handy and an incredibly talented wood worker who created some amazing pieces; he built his own boat, bunk beds for Bruce and Scott, and a rocking horse to name to a few.
Waverley last worked at the University Grants Commission where he was known as a jack of all trades and could "fix anything plugged into a wall" for 23 years before retiring. He was a longtime member and lifelong fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

We will miss you Waverley (Umpa).
Your quiet, gentle nature, your integrity,
and your kind soul…(these things)
will always serve as our compass.
Until we meet again.

Due to Covid restrictions, a service will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 6th floor at St. Boniface Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Siloam Mission.
