ANNA ZEZZA (MICHELINI)
Date of Passing: Nov 11, 2020Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
1925 - 2020
Predeceased by her beloved husband Domenico Zezza in 2012, as well as her brother Franco and her son-in-law Peter, this year.
To cherish her memory are her daughters, Katia and Irene (Charles), her granddaughters, Daniela (Brad) and Jane (John), her great-granddaughter Zahra, and her Michelini family in Toronto. She was greatly loved by all of her family.
Mom was a wonderful person with a loving heart, an amazing sense of humour and a real zest for life. Happiness surrounded her when she was sewing, cooking and especially gardening. The garden was her masterpiece and her house was a greenhouse to the samplings of all her seeds. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family, and taking care of her husband and daughters was a priority. Mom felt "Nonna" was a special title, it was one she took very seriously, and she enjoyed every second spent with her granddaughters. Mom made sure she spent good quality time with each of them - whether it was building a toboggan slide, playing Scopa cards, Monopoly or sewing a new outfit. Our family will forever miss her, she will never be forgotten.
Due to current circumstances there will not be a formal funeral service. A private family service has taken place.
We would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their help during her residence, your great care of our mom is greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My earliest memories of my Zia are of a loving person with a warm smile and generally a big plate of food. Although we lived in different provinces the distance didn't seem to matter, we saw one another when we could and the love was always present. Good bye Zia, I'm sure you're sharing a glass of wine with Zio, Mom & Dad. - Posted by: john michelini (Nephew) on: Nov 25, 2020
So sorry for this news Aunty Irene. Cousin Jane and Uncle Chuck take care. With love from Vancouver. - Posted by: Harley (Harland) Martin (Nephew/cousin) on: Nov 22, 2020

My Zia Anna visited often. As a child I delighted at the thought of her visits as she was soft warm and affectionate I was very young when she gave me a sewing basket to encourage me to learn her passion and I treasured it and learned to sew and embroider. I still use it today and will never part with it. She said she bought it for her Patrizietta. So long ago but so vivid a memory of my Aunty Anne. In my teens we visited Winnipeg and the joy of the meals she prepared. The the celebration of family are amazing memories. When she and Zio Domenico visited they made my sons feel special. I loved her fiesty personality. Her love of the slots. She was very direct when she had something to say. What a amazing women who taught me a lot. Say hi to my Dad Zia. baby brother Franco. I will miss you. I love you a lot. Rest peacefully sweet Zia. - Posted by: Patrizia Michelini-Wood (niece ) on: Nov 21, 2020
