BARBARA ELLEN PERTSON
Barb was born on March 7, 1939. She grew up in Isaac Brock and moved to Deer Lodge after marrying Frank Pertson of Winnipeg Beach. Upon graduating high school, Barb worked a comptometer for North American Lumber prior to becoming a full time homemaker. Grandma Barb was an active volunteer at Deer Lodge Community Club and with the Cubs and Scouts. She enjoyed curling and like a lot of Winnipegers, spent way too much time in hockey rinks over the years.
Barb was predeceased by her husband Frank, her aunt Gloria and uncle Fred, cousins Kathleen and Bob and brother-in-law Ted.
She is survived by her son Rod and his wife Shonda and their children Drew and Gradyn. Survivors also include sister-in-law Joyce and her husband Jack. Nieces Tanya and Cathy and husband Mitch and nephew James and his wife Lisa and friend Dawn. The Knights were more than cousins to Niecey. They were as close as sisters and brothers to her and such an important part of her life.
Thank-you Richard and Karen, Elizabeth and Rob, Elinor and Ken, Shirley and Paul, Margaret and Verne, Tim and Dalyce, and Nora and Pat. You and your families added so much to her life.
A Celebration of Life will take place when we can once again gather.
