  • May he rest in peace. Annette - Posted by: Annette Cinq-Mars Champagne (Cousin of Gabriel) on: Dec 01, 2020

  • My condolence to the Cinq-Mars family. I worked in the Safeway head office in Winnipeg and one of my responsibilities was the hiring and staffing of the retail store meat departments. I had placed an ad and Larry answered it. He was working for the Codville company and wanted to make a career change. Thinking back 45 years, I believe he graduated from the Red River College Meat Training Program. He impressed me with his sincerity and willingness to do the job. At that time he was leaving a full time job to take on a part time job leading to full time. It was a risky move but he saw the potential. Larry's ability to learn, take on responsibility and his personality made him a very good employee. As he was on call for sickness/vacation relief for some time until he got a full time position, we talked many times on the phone. I last met Larry working at the Grant Park meat department and he was very happy with his work and meeting me. He thanked me for hiring him. I did not get one complaint about his work from the meat managers in all his years. He was a dedicated employee. Sorry to see you go too early and God Bless. - Posted by: Colin Dederick (Colleague's ) on: Nov 28, 2020
