My name is Garrett Toenders, my mother is Wendy Toenders, who is sisters with Karen Young. The years I lived in Manitoba when growing up and becoming a young man, Karen and Michael, lived together in a wonderful country home in Saint Eustache, Manitoba. I always enjoyed my visits to St. Eustache, and Uncle Mike (as I called him then) was always very welcoming and kind to me, and I have very happy memories of his love for snowmobiling and hands-on work in welding and construction, and maintenance of their lovely home. I will always remember Uncle Mike for the wonderful dogs he owned and exquisitely trained. At first the wonderful Tonka, the German shepherd who diligently guarded the house and looked out for the Trach family, and later Angel the husky, also trained to the same standard. Much of what I learned about dog training I learned from Uncle Mike, and I've used these techniques in the training of my own dog Sookie. Thank you for the caring, kindness, teaching, and the memories. Uncle Mike you will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Garrett Toenders (Nephew) on: Nov 30, 2020
