Peacefully passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer. Suzanne passed away on November 21, 2020, with her family by her side, at the age of 62 years, at the Selkirk Regional Hospital.
Suzanne will be lovingly remembered by her spouse, Leonard De Haan, her daughters, Natalie Haslund (Nathan), and Jacqueline Belisle (Brendan), her grandsons, Austin and Tyson Haslund and her daughter's father, Gerard Belisle (Anne-Marie). She will also be missed by her brother, Raymond Fiola (Rose-Anna), her sisters, Nicole Simpson, Madeleine Fiola (Joe), Jeannine Allard (Fred), and Rolande Smith (Dave). All her nieces and nephews, who will always remember her abundance of hugs, kisses and puppy kisses, Raymond Chartrand, Marie Shinde, Dale Fiola, Randy Chartrand, Tiffany Fiola, Dustin Fiola, Rheal Allard, Katlynn Allard, Lionel Belisle, Diane Jensen, Suzie Reimer, Deanna Jensen, Tammy Magnusson, Sherri Manness, Christina Porter, Angela Wood, Desiderio Marinelli, Candace Wheeler-Johnson, Gary Simpson, and Sean Simpson and her extended De Haan, Fiola, and Belisle family.
Suzanne was predeceased by her father, Lucien Fiola, her mother, Therese Fiola, and her brother-in-law, Laird Simpson.
Suzanne was a hairdresser for 30 years, she was outgoing and she met a lot of people and touched people's hearts. Whether it was just a lending ear, or her opinion of the situation to help them feel comfortable. She often stood up for what she believed in and saved a few lives along the way by being there for them and helping them get out of an uncomfortable situation. Her pride and joy were her grandsons, Austin and Tyson ('tit gars) and loved being adventurous with them. She had a young youthful soul and loved travelling and visiting with people with a coffee in hand. She will be missed by everyone who came into her life.
The family would like to thank the Medical Staff on the 2nd Floor, Med 2 at the Selkirk Regional Hospital for the hospitality and the love we received from all of the doctors and nurses.
There will be no funeral service or an online Celebration of Life as per Suzanne's wishes.
