  • RIP Rolly, it was a great pleasure knowing you. From old times growing up in the Union Centre on Portage to the ANAF on Wilton you were always loads of fun to be with. It's still quite stunning to know you're gone. God bless. - Posted by: Hugh O'Donnell (Friend) on: Dec 05, 2020

  • I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Roland’s family. I have a deep respect for Roland and a great appreciation for the contribution that he made to my career. He was encouraging, generous with his advice, forthright but kind. He was always encouraging and never rancorous. It was always a pleasure to walk into his office because you always walked out feeling better than when you entered. I will always remember that warm smile when he met people. Rolly was a very thoughtful, considerate and amiable person. Thank you Roland. - Posted by: Denis Lavoie (Colleague) on: Dec 02, 2020

  • Cher Mon Oncle Roland. Five years have passed since I was graced with the pleasure of enjoying your company. It was by mere chance & a wonderful surprise. I am saddened of your passing. Memories will keep you close to my heart. I will cherish these wonderful memories from my childhood & the latter. Till we meet again. Love & hugs. • This is without question one of the most difficult tributes I have ever written, as Roland Dufault meant so much to me. Rolly was my very first friend when I started working at CBC in 1972. Circumstances did not allow for any training, but when I was thrown into the deep end, Rolly was there for me. He made the learning on the job process so easy. For this, I have always been grateful...even when he used to deny how much he was responsible for saving me from total disaster. He was a terrific colleague and friend, and I think I speak for many people when I write that I will always have fond memories of our working together for so many, many years. My deepesr sympathy to his family. Ms Frankie Glickman Victoria B.C. - Posted by: Ms Frankie Glickman (CBC colleague) on: Nov 28, 2020
