Luke was more than just my coworker, he was my friend. I will miss his great smile and his sense of humor. My sincere apologies to his family Bev and his two boys Quinton and Tyson. I am going to miss you Luke! - Posted by: Sherwin Hao (Friend and Coworker) on: Dec 11, 2020
I am so sorry for your loss and saddened to hear of Luke's passing. Luke and I were colleagues at Kraus Global, Standard Aero as well as Manitoba Hydro. We shared many conversations over the years, his humor, outlooks and broad range of interests made him easy to gravitate to. My deepest condolences to Luke's family, take care of each other. - Posted by: Rodney Liebrecht (Co-worker/Friend) on: Dec 11, 2020
My condolence to Luke's friends and family, I only knew him in passing in the halls at work, but one day in passing he complemented my pendant and called it by a name I did not know, as I knew it by another name and he kindly explained the meaning of the intricate designs, I was so thankful as I now understood more of the history of the pendant I wore so proudly. From that day forward every time we would pass each other in the hallway he would not pass without saying a pleasant hello with a smile. Simple as that may seem, I appreciated that, as it shows his character from one human to the next. I did not know his name and suspect he did not know mine but he was thoughtful enough to extend a simple hello with a smile. Now I know his name ...Peace to you Luke! - Posted by: Sharon Johnson (Coworker) on: Dec 09, 2020
I have worked with Luke on a few IT projects. I have a vivid memory of him because we were just joking about how he will manage to drive around his little racing car in winter, not so long ago before he passed away. It is truly awful to receive such news under the depressing pandemic time. My deepest condolences to Luke's family and hope you will be strong! - Posted by: Adrian He (Co-Worker) on: Dec 08, 2020
I worked on a few projects with Luke at Manitoba Hydro and enjoyed his pleasant demeanor and always positive attitude. I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Maria Sykes (Colleague) on: Dec 08, 2020
My condolences, Bev and family. I met Luke while taking night classes at U of M a few years ago. Afterwards, when Luke and I still worked at 820 Taylor Ave., I always enjoyed his engaging chats when he stopped at my office, as he walked by, either at the beginning or end of the work day. I worked physically close to Luke at Hydro. He always had a big smile, sarcasm and laugh. He was intelligent and friendly. I feel very sad especially for Luke’s boys and wife. I offer my condolences to all of his family. - Posted by: Russell Jonson (Previous Coworker) on: Dec 01, 2020
