Margaret was born in Deloraine, MB on August 25, 1939. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Sean, Dennis, and Thomas; six grandchildren; brother Jim (Karen) Millard and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Errol, parents, Jack and Muriel Millard, brother Lloyd Millard, sister Gail Robertson, grandson Michael Black.

Margaret was my first constituency assistant as a new MLA in 1999, my first campaign manager in that year’s provincial election, and a stalwart member of the Brandon Easy NDP. She was a founding member of the Westman NDP Women’s Association and, together with her husband Errol, a cornerstone of NDP politics in Manitoba. She was like family to me and influenced the course of my life. Margaret was always ready with a smile, keen to get the job done, and unfailingly socialist in political orientation.
