KIRKWOOD: Olive Imogene Kirkwood. It is with great sadness that our family has had to say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Ollie Kirkwood passed away November 29th, 2020 at the age of 88. Ollie was born at Dand, Manitoba on October 9th, 1932 to Albert and Stenna Holden. She had the best childhood and her favourite part was helping her dad – especially when it had something to so with the horses. Ollie taught school for a short while before she married Allen Kirkwood of Kirkwood District on August 30th, 1952. Ollie was an amazing farm wife, she helped Allen on the land, milked cows, had a huge garden, ran the household and cared for Allen's parents, Oliver and Fern Kirkwood. To add to the mix Ollie and Allen had two children, Kathy and Tuffy. They farmed until Allen passed away in 1983. Ollie moved off the farm in 1996 to Deloraine. She lived most of her retirement years at the Border Hills Apartments where she loved to help out her neighbours. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, spending time with the grandkids, camping, traveling, cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. Family was very important to Ollie – she hosted all of the birthday and anniversary parties, and special holidays. She was an amazing cook!! Ollie was predeceased by her husband Allen, brothers: Barney and Tom, sisters: Edna, Ruth, and Margaret. Ollie is survived by her daughter Kathy (Wayne), son Tuffy (Patti), Grandchildren: Jennifer (Paul), Michael (Julie), Cory (Jana) and Joey (Kelly), Greatgrandchildren: Reagan, Silas, Madison, Quinn, Andrew, Keelan and Kyler, Sisters: Lloys and Lorna and many nieces and nephews. The family of Ollie would like to thank the staff at the BrenDelWin Lodge for the incredible care and compassion given to Mom over the past few years. Bless you all! In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ollie, can be made to BrenDelWin Centennial Library, 211 North Railway Ave., Deloraine, Manitoba, R0M 0M0
Those we love don't go away,

They walk beside us
every day.
Unseen, unheard
but always near,
Still loved, still missed
and held so dear.
