VIOLET DAY
Vi, as she was known, was born in Winnipeg on August 2, 1948 to John and Mable Thorsteinson and later became a big sister to Marilyn. Vi grew up in Winnipeg where she later raised her two sons, Michael and Cameron. She was a giggler and always present with a smile. Vi and her partner Kirk were proud grandparents to Trenton and Seth, and thoroughly enjoyed their visits to the coast to see them. They enjoyed visiting friends at Rockwood Halls where Vi enjoyed to dance.
Vi spent her remaining days at Charleswood Personal Care Home, and her family would like to thank the staff for the care she received.
Vi was predeceased by her parents, John and Mable, her partner Kirk, and leaves behind her two sons, Michael and Cameron Day; her grandsons, Trenton and Seth; and her sister Marilyn (Bob) Kawiuk.
In compliance with Vi's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
