RUTH WAREHAM

Ruth Wareham (Hunt) peacefully passed away just before her 90th birthday leaving her true love, Al. Above all, they valued family and friends.
Ruth was a loving mom to Cathy, Bill (Karen), Judy (Herm) and Gord (Jane). Her grandkids, Lyndi, Telsa, Sadie, Asha, Robyn, Maddie and Sam eagerly awaited their visits. Ruth amazed her own kids returning from work to dinner made, cookies baked, and their kids telling of trips to the park, tea parties, and games with Grandma. Her love and laughter will be remembered by everyone whether they called her Mom, Grandma, Auntie, Mrs. Wareham, or Ruth.
Special thanks to St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their compassionate care and the video calls that allowed her to visit and meet her great-grandson Avery.
A service will be arranged when people can gather. In lieu of flowers, please show kindness to all around you.

  • My sincere condolences to “Uncle Al” and family. I attended Wareham & Crowe Christmas parties when married to Larry Dale which were so well planned and decorated to the tee, which I am sure was due to Ruth & Dorothy’s talents. Aunty Ruth & Elaine Dale threw a surprise bridal shower for me. She had such a gift for party planning, decor and delicious foods! To this day, I am grateful for a celery bake recipe that Ruth shared with me ages ago. She was so kind and always made me feel welcome. She will be missed. - Posted by: Sonya Bertoncello-May (Family friend) on: Dec 10, 2020

  • Our deepest sympathies to Uncle Al and cousins Cathy, Bill, Judy, Gord and families. Auntie Ruth was a gem. I have fond memories of visits with our city relatives on the farm and a very special summer when my sister Sandra and I spent time with our cousins in the city. Auntie Ruth’s sense of humour and laugh always brought light into any room. Truly a beautiful person inside and out. Although we haven’t seen Ruth for many years she is often in my thoughts as I still make a wonderful carrot salad that she passed on the recipe for. Our hearts go out to Al & the rest of the Wareham family. Rest well Ruth. - Posted by: Renee & Bill Butchart (Friend) on: Dec 07, 2020

  • Fond memories of Wareham & Crowe Christmas parties with Ruth and Dorothy opening their homes, planning and preparing delicious meals for all the staff, not to mention Ruth's good nature tolerating all the hullabaloo from a few of us exuberant party rascals, who shall remain unnamed. Many a good time at those parties; now treasured memories. Our sincerest condolences to the entire Wareham family at this very tender time. You are all in our thoughts. - Posted by: Jim and Diane Crowe (Family friend) on: Dec 05, 2020
