  • I was so very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom (Aunt Judy to me). My childhood vacation memories are all about going to Winnipeg and to the Beach! Seeing all the aunts, uncles and cousins in the summertime was a big deal and a happy time! I always loved going over to Aunt Judy and Uncle Stan’s cabin and I would admire the macaroni, the flags and bottle caps forever. You just don't see that kind of creativity and nostalgia anymore. I remember Aunt Judy and Uncle Stan riding their bikes over to our cabin and letting us borrow their bikes too! Aunt Judy was the perfect host, making many delicious dinners at their cabin with us all sitting around the fire pits long into the night. She was always so kind and allowed me to use their shower anytime, as our cabin didn't have one. That was a big deal - when cabins really were "just cabins"!! Aunt Judy (and Uncle Stan) were a huge part of my childhood, despite that we haven’t been to Winnipeg for years. Although there is never enough time with our loved ones, it is such a blessing that Aunt Judy was in everyone's life for so long. Sending love and hugs to you all at this sad time, Cousin Lori (Calgary) - Posted by: Lori Hunt (Niece) on: Dec 06, 2020
