ALEXANDRINE MARIE ROSS
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, niece, friend and neighbour will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years Mitch Verrier, children, Jim (Sarah), Rachelle(Shaun), and Jason (Delila), daughter-in-law, Debra, grandchildren, Cody, Madison, Jaylynne, Emily, Kayden, Draven, and Lee, siblings, Eleanor, Millie (Jake), Valerie (Kevin), twin brother Sandy (Lois), Donald (Heather), and Lorraine. Sandra will also be dearly missed by her father and mother-in-law Adelard and Helen Verrier, brother and sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Sandra is predeceased by her parents Hubert and Helen Ross, brother Gordon, nephew Jonathan and brother-in-laws Philip and Roger. Special mention to nephew Ryan Ross, her Earth Angel and travel companion. Thank you Ryan for always being there for her.
Sandra was born and raised on a small farm in St. Labre, MB. Sandra moved to Winnipeg at the age of 16 to work for Old Dutch Foods. Along the way while working various jobs she found the love of her life Mitch and her passion for healthcare. She retired from Taché Centre as a healthcare aide at the age of 64.
Sandra spent her retirement years at her home in Marchand, MB where she enjoyed gardening, puzzles, baking, spending time with her husband and most of all entertaining her grandkids, who meant the world to her. Sandra never sat down, she loved playing soccer in the backyard with the grandkids, fishing with her daughter in summer and her grandson in the winter. She also enjoyed playing rummy with her sisters and travelling to find a beach, casino or bingo hall. To say our mother was one of a kind would be an understatement, we love you mom. She will truly be missed by all.
Due to regulations from COVID-19 cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brandon Regional Health Centre for all the care and support they provided her in such a difficult time.
