BETTY ANNE MARIE PAGE
1952 - 2020

Betty Anne Marie passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Laura Small. Betty is survived by her brother Robert Small (Abby); and sisters, Roselyn Jory (Laurence) and Valerie Maxwell (Dennis). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Alexandrea, Tracy, Leland (Kendra), Aaron, Randall (Alanda); and great-niece Sara. She had many cousins, and friends that she made over the years. Betty is also mourned by her close friend Carol McPhaden, and her beloved friend Donald Radley.
Betty worked hard to get by her entire life. First at Canadian News for many years, then about four years at Western Paint, and finally at the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities as an administrative assistant. Everywhere she worked, she made many friends and could recall them years later. She also had many "bus" friends as she travelled the same route to work each day.
Betty enjoyed crafts, reading, and the summer weekend at Wasagaming every year with her adopted female cousins. She also enjoyed the family reunions she was invited to.
Betty had an infectious laugh that always made everyone feel better. She was one of those people that would always say, "Might as well feel up, it's better than moping about."
Cremation has taken place as per Betty's wishes. She also requested that a celebration of her life take place in the spring, when the earth renews itself. A notice will be printed at that time.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I was so terribly saddened to hear of Betty's passing. Away too young. I was one of her "bus buddies" for many years, until I lost my job over six years ago. Unfortunately, the circles change when circumstances do, so I didn't see much of her or the others after that. We had many a good chat on our rides, and she indeed had a very infectious laugh. She will be missed. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Bev Smith (Friend) on: Dec 16, 2020

  • My sincerest condolences to Betty's immediate family and to her MB Possible family. Betty is a hardworking person. She might have had bad days but always ready to share a smile no matter what. She did so many volunteering works which reflects her big heart of gold. Thoughts and prayers for her and for her family. - Posted by: Jane (colleague) on: Dec 14, 2020
