ADRIANA (ADA) SULKERS

With fond and loving memories, the family sadly announces the peaceful passing of Ada Sulkers on December 2, 2020, aged 99 years.
Mom would have turned 100 years young on December 16, 2020. She was blessed to have been able to stay in her own home to the end and passed on her own terms, of age-related heart failure.
Our deepest thanks and appreciation to the paramedics who responded so quickly, and to the St. Boniface Emergency Room physicians and nurses who treated her with such compassion and dignity in her final hours.
Ada will be greatly missed by her daughter Joycelyn (Eric), granddaughter Caitlyn (Chris), and nephews and nieces, Bruce, Norma, Ross (Marlene), Jacqueline (Jorn) and their families.
Please, no flowers. To remember Ada, please consider a donation to Harvest Manitoba (formerly Winnipeg Harvest), the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter (3062 Portage Ave.) or another charity of your choice.
A longer obituary will appear in the Saturday, December 12 edition.

  • My sincere condolences to you and your family Joycelyn. - Posted by: Don Neusitzer (Former classmate) on: Jan 31, 2021

  • Our whole family Gord, Susan, Mathew and Justine offer our condolences to your whole family. We have lived first house east of Mrs. Sulkers and Harry for many years. We have been blessed by being neighbours to them both. Every spring Harry would bring me a bag of pucks that he had just cultivated (from over shooting from our hockey rink in our back yard right into the corn patch). Mrs. Sulkers would politely tell us when we were to loud socializing or our kids were abusing the fields with there mini bikes. Mrs. Sulkers was truly an amazing neighbour and we have been fortunate enough to of known Mrs Sulkers and Harry. We apologize for late tribute as these are unusual times. Respectfully, the Mcintosh family - Posted by: Mcintosh family (Neighbours ) on: Jan 17, 2021

  • I have such fond memories of Harry and Ada and of having short visits with them when visiting Uncle Jake & Aunt Lena. Such a fun and loving couple. Much love and condolences to the family. - Posted by: Lenore Sulkers Cohn (cousin ) on: Dec 11, 2020
