MARJORIE ANNE SHOLAN

On Monday, December 7, 2020, our mother was granted her angel wings. She was 93 years old. Leaving before her was her husband Frank, her daughter Dee, grandson Cody, and most recently her brother Curly.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Fred and her children, Donna in Australia, Cornel in Mexico and their spouses, and Normy of Calgary. Always referred to as "Granny", she looked forward to hearing from her grandchildren, Gordie, David, Shane, Dwayne, Krista, Kelly and their families.
I am her daughter Del and when her legs weakened and her mind taken by the thief dementia, our roles were reversed. Eventually the Covid-19 monster that stole her tiny, frail body so quickly, won. It has been the greatest privilege of my life to care for my childlike mother. She has left us with some of our best memories and she has taken a little piece of all of us with her. She had one last trip to hair and make-up...something important to her.
Cremation has taken place and she will be home for Christmas. Eventually she will rest with her husband in the military section of Brandon Cemetery.
If you lit a candle for her - we thank you. If you thought of us - we thank you. We are grateful to all the staff at Park Manor Care including Chaplain Alan for the phone prayers. We also wish to thank Korban Funeral Chapel for their compassion and kindness in caring for someone so precious to all of us.

  • With sadness for all of us she dons her angel wings and takes her place in the part of the universe that we can only sense. With all of her loved ones and beloved at her side, may her light never diminish and burn bright for all to see in the afterlife. - Posted by: Dwayne (Grandson ) on: Dec 12, 2020
