MARJORIE ANNE SHOLAN
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Fred and her children, Donna in Australia, Cornel in Mexico and their spouses, and Normy of Calgary. Always referred to as "Granny", she looked forward to hearing from her grandchildren, Gordie, David, Shane, Dwayne, Krista, Kelly and their families.
I am her daughter Del and when her legs weakened and her mind taken by the thief dementia, our roles were reversed. Eventually the Covid-19 monster that stole her tiny, frail body so quickly, won. It has been the greatest privilege of my life to care for my childlike mother. She has left us with some of our best memories and she has taken a little piece of all of us with her. She had one last trip to hair and make-up...something important to her.
Cremation has taken place and she will be home for Christmas. Eventually she will rest with her husband in the military section of Brandon Cemetery.
If you lit a candle for her - we thank you. If you thought of us - we thank you. We are grateful to all the staff at Park Manor Care including Chaplain Alan for the phone prayers. We also wish to thank Korban Funeral Chapel for their compassion and kindness in caring for someone so precious to all of us.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)
I can’t believe how close I feel to you, after so many years apart. We have a history of life and friendship which time can’t change. I still have so many memories of growing up on 8th street and all the good times that only exist in our memories. Dell, Cornel, Donna and Norman, my deepest most sincere sympathies Colleen (Quinn, Brodt) Law - Posted by: Colleen (Quinn) Law (Friend ) on: Dec 18, 2020
My deepest condolences to you and your family. I know how you cared lovingly and daily for your mom. She was blessed to have you there to the end. My heart aches for your loss. I will light the candle in her memory. And my prayers of comfort. Kerry - Posted by: Kerry Harrison (friend) on: Dec 13, 2020
Very saddened to read this notice. Donna, Del, Cornel, Norm - our condolences. Your Mum and Dad - and all of you - were great friends and neighbours. My parents valued their friendship highly. As did Maureen and I. Wayne Smith, High River Alberta Maureen Reining, King's Park New York - Posted by: Wayne Smith (Friend) on: Dec 13, 2020
With sadness for all of us she dons her angel wings and takes her place in the part of the universe that we can only sense. With all of her loved ones and beloved at her side, may her light never diminish and burn bright for all to see in the afterlife. - Posted by: Dwayne (Grandson ) on: Dec 12, 2020
Dear Del, I was so very saddened to hear not only that your mom passed, but how she had to pass. It is so tragic to hear about the Covid losses. I am thinking of you and will light an additional candle December 13th during TCF Worldwide Candle Lighting. Love and hugs.
