Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My sincere condolences. I am very saddened to read this news. I have thought about Gerry over the years, since we worked together at E H Price, She was the Purchasing Manager I was the Engineering Manager back in the 90's. Gerry was an incredible lady; very smart, skilled, knowledgeable, intuitive with others (she had a strong dose of women's intuition), exceptionally empathic, helpful to others at all times in any way possible and always had a smile to greet you and was always up lifting to be around. If there was a project at work that needed a push or new ideas, she was the one to be on the team (always my first pick). She was great to bounce ideas off of and just knew how to tell you when something would not work and in the nicest way possible. Then she would contribute a great idea with great potential. It was about this time of year when Gerry invited my wife and I over to their house for Christmas cheer. It was wonderful meeting her family and sharing the Christmas spirt together. We had plenty of laughs. Gerry was always very thoughtful and generous. In casual conversation one day we got talking about Fosters Pickled Asparagus (weird but true) and how delicious these were. Well a few days later as we met on a project, out comes a jar of Fosters that she bought at Costco for me. Now normally who would remember something like that (seemingly insignificant)? All I know is that Gerry made an impact on me and others In such a good way. I think that may have been the time we picked up a roll of heavy news print that Gerry promised Bev could bring from work, for a household project I had. At another project meeting, we ended up talking about winter vacations and discovered we were both going to be on vacation in Mexico at the same time. We made a plan to meet. My wife and I caught up with Gerry in Puerto Vallarta at their resort and had great happy hour together. Writing this has brought back such great memories. I am so thank full to have known Gerry and let it be known she made a difference in my life. BY Ken Lenton - Posted by: Ken Lenton (Past Co Worker and Friend) on: Dec 12, 2020
