HOFER: Elie, age 71 years, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Elie was born November 1, 1949 in Rosedale Colony near Elie, MB. He was predeceased by his father Elie Hofer on February 1, 2009 and mother Susanna Hofer on August 14, 1964. He is survived by his stepmother Elisabeth Hofer; siblings Susanna, Rachel (Harry), Hannah (Darius), Lydia (Jim), Peter (Rebecca), Sarah (Garry), John and Jonty; step sisters Shirley (Martin), Heidi, Becca (John), Carol (Laurie), Susan (Harold) and Lisa (Peter); half-sisters Joanne (Josh) and Linda (Erik); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elie spent many years living and working in Calgary. He returned to Brandon later in life and worked at Cargill, then Zenith Paving. Elie was a kind, gentle soul who will be missed by many. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will take place.
