ROGER DENIS COUTU
Roger is survived by his loving wife Rita; his children, Maria, Phil, Michelle, Kristen, Nicole and their families. Also left to mourn are Rita's children, Allison, Andrea, Travis and their families.
Roger was born and raised in St. Boniface and attended St. Paul's College. He worked in the family funeral business for several years then went on to have a successful career in Sales and Marketing with Penmans and Wengers. Roger's last 14 years of his working career were spent as owner and operator of Iron Horse Security.
Roger was an avid sports fan who played football, hockey, golf and court sports. He was thrilled when the Bombers finally won the Grey Cup last year. His passion for horses started at a very early age. He had show horses, cutting horses and several race horses at Assiniboine Downs. Roger also loved to travel. Roger and Rita spent many great vacation times travelling through as many states in the USA as they could. Many winters were enjoyed in Mexico and Costa Rica.
There will be no funeral service at this time.

Although a number of years have passed and miles were always between us, Roger was a caring and loving man. He loved Rita and his children, and were always on his mind as a blessing that he never for a moment took for granted. His family knew this of course, and will always remember his high spirit, his loving concern and "never quit personality", and his fondness for Racing horses of which he owned more than a few, and always ready to give you a tip on his next winner. A Man and a Father you were fortunate to know. My Sincere Condolences to his entire family. Garth Felske - Posted by: Garth Felske (Brother in law, & his best man from the nineties.) on: Oct 29, 2021

Wish to offer my condolences to you (Rita) whom i had never met, but have good memories of Roger during his years in sales (jewellery etc.). I always enjoyed his visits to our business (Stonewall jlrs Ltd) as well as meeting him at the Wpg Gift Shows. As I recall, it was only a short time ago that I ran into him (5 yrs? ) and we exchanged pleasantries. - Posted by: BILL G FAST (business acquaintance ) on: Jan 01, 2021

Our sincere condolences to our first cousin, Roger Denis Coutu, to his siblings and to his wife Rita and family and children, especially Maria, who was close to our immediate family. Roger, in physical appearance, very much resembled his grandfather, Philippe Coutu: July 21, 1884 - April 19, 1949, founder of P. Coutu Funeral Home. Like his grandfather and his family, Roger was a successful and engaging business man and as with his grandparents Roger loved sports, music, and travelling. I was deeply saddened to hear of Roger's passing. He was such a good dear friend to our family and I have many fond memories of the times he shared with us all. His personality was larger than life and he brightened up every room with his boisterous laugh and his unconditionally generous heart. I hope you and your family can somehow find comfort in knowing that he touched the lives of so many and he truly was a very special man. Please take care of each other. - Posted by: Karen Talbot (Danko) (Old Friend) on: Dec 16, 2020
