  • I was very sorry and shocked to hear Zivan passed away. I knew Zivan through the MCA and I knew his dad Max through my career with the City. I had some great discussions with Zivan over the years being associated with curling. I remember my last discussion with Zivan at the Past President’s dinner at the Thistle CC in September of 2019. I will always remember his greeting to me “howdy Maccer”. RIP Zivan. Until we meet again. Bob MacCallum - Posted by: Bob MacCallum (Friend) on: Jan 09, 2021

  • My sincerest sympathies to Zivy’s family. Although it has been many years since I last saw him, I have fond memories of our little family reunion. Rest in Peace Zivy. - Your cousin Alison. - Posted by: Alison Saper (Cousin) on: Dec 21, 2020

  • My sincerest condolences to the family on this saddest of occasions. My friendship with Zivan started out with my being a client. We met up again at Seven Oaks Wellness Facility where we "worked out" together. This was a daily routine with Zivan & me including having Breakfast before work. I have missed his friendship since 2015 when I moved to Edmonton, and now it is permanently gone, except for the memories. - Posted by: Vic Kowalewich (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2020

  • It is with profound sadness that we face the reality of losing Zivan. He was an esteemed friend who will be missed. • I got to know Zivan when we attended Camp Massad in the 1960s. I remember him well: sweet, warm, always ready to reach out in friendship. I was so sorry to hear about his passing at much too young an age. My condolences to his wife Tannis, and his brother Arthur, whom I also knew from camp. My his memory be a blessing to his entire family. - Posted by: Deborah Chiel (Friends from summer camp) on: Dec 20, 2020

  • I started working for Zivan and his father Max in 1992. I often referred to Zivan as my second father since I spent more than half of my life working with him. Avi's eulogy said it all - Zivan was always full of knowledge, wisdom and great advice. He was much more than just my employer, he was a friend. You will be missed. - Posted by: Tammy Boivin (Former Employee) on: Dec 19, 2020
