ALLEN JOHN BIRCHAM
Allen was predeceased by, and is now
reunited with, his loving wife Shirley and his sons, Dean and Gary.
He leaves to mourn his daughter Sharon, grandchildren, Tiffiny, Trevor and Jessica, daughter-in-law Julie, grandchildren Kristen, Paige, Kieran, Ross and Lauren, daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren, Caiden and Shavon, son Al and family, and numerous great grandchildren. Also left to mourn is his sister
Rosemary Yates.
Allen was dedicated to his family and
everyone knew him as 'gramps'. He loved to work, whether it was as a surveyor in the oil industry or operating his own window
cleaning business. His retirement passion was gardening and he loved to be needed. He especially treasured going for lunch with his grandchildren and playing chauffeur. Gramps was a true gentleman. He always put everyone before himself, setting the bar very high for the rest of us. In addition to so many
incredible memories, we will always carry forward his example of how to be a selfless human. In respect of Allen's wishes, there will be no service.

As a young university student l met Al over 60 years ago working with him at the city survey dept.Besides being my patient mentor he was a true gentleman in all respects. I loved our walks home after work over the Disraeli bridge as we both lived on Talbot. Al was a family man first and although we never met l knew all the kids by name and what they were doing.it’s time to collect your reward.Rest in peace Neil Payne friend - Posted by: Neil payne (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2020

John was a quiet person, but always had a smile and a "Hello", to the ones he knew at Beauchemin Park Place. It was always nice to see John. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Val Cameron (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2020

Precious memories of working with Al many years ago at Dorsey. He took me under his wing & trained me in the basics of reading a transit. Al, along with the rest of the guys, helped with the day by day process of keeping an orphaned baby chipmunk alive that had to be hand fed. Rest easy Al and say hi to Bliss. - Posted by: Lynne Sutton (Friend) on: Dec 19, 2020
