FRED OSHANSKI
February 12, 1939 - December 8, 2020

Fred (who also answered to Sir, Freddie, Dad, Pops, Gido, but never wanted to be called "late for dinner,") wanted to let everyone know that he got a call to do some volunteer work, a sort of 'offer you can't refuse,' and won't be coming back. And if you knew Fred, you know he never said no to helping someone, especially if that would let him see friends and family he hasn't seen in awhile, and possibly tell a few stories that may be a little bigger and better than the truth. We are incredibly sad to see him go, but happy he will be able to walk once again and catch up to Joy, because as usual, she left early to make sure everything was organized.
He did leave us some important instructions though, to pass along to everyone, so here it goes; make time to do the things you think are important, because you never know when something changes and you aren't able to do those things at all anymore. Always take time to talk to kids, tease them and make them laugh, later in their lives those memories will be fondly remembered. Be kind to your neighbours, (including and especially the animal kind,) and help in whatever way you can - whatever you give will be repaid tenfold…… and more. And finally make sure you have laughter in your life. Fred would like you not to dwell on his having to go, but on the things he left behind for you to remember him by, oh and have a drink for him because there is nothing better than finishing a good job with a tasty drink. Daborjah!
